About Ferguson Road Initiative
The mission of the Ferguson Road Initiative (FRI) is to engage and empower a community of advocates to advance a safe, beautiful, prosperous and proud community in Far East Dallas. The Ferguson Road Initiative is a grassroots community-based organization comprised of HOAs, Neighborhood Associations, Crime Watch, Volunteer-in-Patrol groups, law enforcement, nonprofits, apartments, businesses, faith-based groups, schools, and other concerned constituencies, all working towards accomplishing a shared mission and vision.
Google for Nonprofits
Google for Nonprofits is an AWESOME program from Google. It offers organizations like yours free access to Google tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Ad Grants, YouTube for Nonprofits and more. These tools can help you reach new donors and volunteers, work more efficiently, and tell your nonprofit’s story. Kash Data Consulting LLC, an SEO company based in Plano, Texas has assisted many charitable organizations with Google Ad Grants. Our company has already helped some wonderful non-profit organizations in the Dallas Metropolitan area on a pro bono basis. Challenges
FRI engaged us to assist them with their Google for nonprofit account. Specifically, they were struggling with getting traction on their Google ad grants program. This program allows a nonprofit to set up Google ad campaigns that can be used for any of the following
- Overview of services
- Fundraising and donation campaigns
- Recruiting volunteers
- Promoting events including athletic ones
- Raising awareness of the underlying issue
- And other items
We started the project in December 2016 and actively worked on their campaigns through May 2017. We were able to set up the following campaigns:
- Crime campaign – helping reduce local crime in East Dallas
- Ferguson Road Initiative – several projects in progress throughout the area
- Economic Development Program – Revitalizing communities through business and economic growth
Results
As part of the effort we increased both clicks and impressions in a three month period, between December 22, 2016 and March 30, 2017.
Ad Campaigns Results: Click-throughs were zero before we started and impressions low. We dramatically increased impressions.
Mini project for North Texas giving day
Another thing we did for them is helping them with North Texas giving day (NTGD). Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform. NTGD is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
Back in 2021, we were able to maximize the dollars and give them significant exposure on NTGD 2021. Which in turn helped them with donations which helps them with other operations.
Results of our Google Ads Campaign: Event searches for the date sharply rose as a result of our optimization work.
